OUR WORKSTREAMS

Although we provide safe spaces for Black educators, a core aim of Black Teachers Connect is to build up and create powerful educators who can thrive in both their professional and personal development. Our Education Workstream consists of a varitey of workshops and talks including our BTC brunch which happens periodically throughout the year and our annual conference 'Excelling in Education'. 

CPD is a core aspect in a teacher's journey, so we ensure that our training provided is specifically designed and curated for Black Teachers.

Black Teachers Connect offers a range of consultancy services for institutions including education and beyond. We work with both public and private sector organisations who are keen to make real changes in the face of DEI work. Our team has experience in consultancy including transformation, change management, DEI, and more. We offer services around:

• anti racism
• unconscious bias
• supporting Black teachers
• teaching a diverse curriculum 
• implementing anti racist policy 
• get into teaching career workshops

Mentorship is really important in the development of our teachers. We offer a 12-month curated programme developed by us that matches a Black senior leader or headteacher with Black teachers who are early on in their career and are seeking development. This bespoke programme is designed to support Black teachers to navigate through their career and prepare them for the challenges they may face. EXCELLING IN TEACHING is an intensive online development programme for Black educators of African and Caribbean descent. This programme has been designed for teachers to excel in teaching and leadership and secure roles in senior leadership.
